South Willamette Valley Honor Flight is registered with the State of Oregon, and is a proud member of the Honor Flight Network. South Willamette Valley Honor Flight is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization. Our purpose and goal is to honor America’s Veterans for their service and sacrifice. We transport our heroes living in Benton, Lane, Lincoln, and Linn counties to Washington DC to experience their memorials.
Of all of the wars in recent memory, it was World War II that truly threatened our very existence as a nation—and as a culturally diverse, free society. Now, with over one thousand World War II Veterans dying each day, our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out. We also want to express our thanks to the qualified Korean War Veterans who fought in what has become known as The Forgotten War, and to Vietnam War Veterans.
South Willamette Valley Honor Flight update – Between October 2012 and October 2015, 341 WWII veterans from Lane, Linn, Lincoln, and Benton counties were transported to Washington D.C. on our Honor Flights to be recognized for their service to America. We thank you for your generous support.
The next Honor Flight for this hub will be held May 12-15, 2016. Positions on a Honor Flight are filled in the order applications are received with WWII Veterans still given a priority when filling the open positions.
The flights and tours that Honor Flight Network provides World War II and terminally ill veterans are absolutely FREE.
