In observance of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, South Willamette Valley Honor Flight presents the documentary, “Forgotten Heroes: An Honor Flight Story”. This free movie event will be held this Sunday, December 7 at 1 PM at the Three Rivers Casino in Florence. “Forgotten Heroes” is the story of the May 2014 Honor Flight when South Willamette Valley Honor Flight took 48 WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. to receive the thank you that they never received 70 years ago when they served our nation. Doors open at 1:00 PM. There will be refreshments served and an opportunity to meet WWII veterans who have been invited to attend.

South Willamette Valley Honor Flight update – Between October 2012
and October 2014, 251 WWII veterans from Lane, Linn, Lincoln, and Benton counties were transported to Washington D.C. on our Honor Flights to be recognized for their service to America. We thank you for your generous support.
The next Honor Flight for this hub will be held May 14-17, 2015. Positions on a Honor Flight are filled in the order applications are received.
